What do we understand from the initials "P.A."?

Personal Assistant?
A personal assistance simply means that you are specifically provided with monetary aids, resources, or information to help you when in need.
Personal Accident?
Have you ever gotten physically injured while doing your favourite sport?
Have you ever gotten injured while avoiding the unstoppable running kid in the park?
Well, I have.

There are many people who have an active lifestyle in which they participate in running, swimming, football, cycling, walks in the parks AND even household chores is included!
Some of the activities are contact sports while some are not, AND accidents do happen!
Even if you are someone who is not into sports, accidents can happen while you are walking the stairs, carrying heavy loads and again, doing household chores.
We have to admit that no matter where we are, there is a chance that accidents will occur and injuries sustained.
What happens when a person is injured?
Well, everyone in the right state of mind will definitely seek treatment for their injuries which translate to medical fees and even hospital bills (i.e., out-patient* treatments).
So the next big question is, are you covered for all these accidental expenses?
"Well, my employer does provide me with medical benefits."

Personal accident claims and hospitalisation claims can amount to quite a huge sum and most employers do provide employees with personal accident insurance and hospitalisation insurance.
Even so, we do encourage you to get your own personal accident insurance so you will have seamless coverage when you have a change in your career. Most people do change employers at least once in their career life.
There are only 3 ways a person can die:
(1) old age,
(2) major illness, or
(3) an accident
"How can a Personal Accident plan be my Personal Assistance?"
A Personal Accident plan is your Personal Assistance from which you get monetary aid for your medical treatment fees; it is your resource for your physical injuries and it also provides you with the information that provides you with an assurance.
When you have your own personal accident insurance in place, you are essentially covered with accidental death benefit, partial dismemberment benefit, hospital income benefit, and total permanent disability benefit.
In addition to that, the coverage is worldwide and you get reimbursed for your local and overseas medical expenses (TCM** included), and even income support***.
So how much does a PA plan cost?
Many will think that such good benefits come at a high premium but little do they know that Personal Accident plans can come as little as S$2 a week!
"Psst, do you know?"
Your PA plan even covers insect bites, dengue fever, ZIKA, food poisoning and also hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD)!
Perfect for you and your loved ones, isn't it? You might even enjoy a discount when you sign up your family!
Hurry, get yourself and your family a PA plan NOW!!!
AND IF YOU ARE SELF-EMPLOYED, YOU REALLY DO NOT HAVE A CHOICE ON THIS.
If you are interested in getting a personal accident plan, you can find out more here.
*Not all treatments require the patient to be warded in a hospital and hence, your hospitalisation insurance may not be able to provide the financial assistance to you.
**Must be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board in Singapore.
***This can be an optional benefit (a.k.a. rider) as not all insurers provide this in the basic plan.
